Bulk Course Create
The Bulk Couse Create tool requires the use of a csv file which is uploaded to the "inbox".
Example Excel spreadsheet.

NOTE: Line 1 is for your reference. Line 1 should NOT be included in a production csv file.
UPDATE: 11/01/2007 - The file server associated with the TBR instance of D2L has been upgrade. One configuration change that you need to be aware of is that the file server is now FSC03 (formerly FSC02). This affects the path name used in the CSV files uploaded as part of the Bulk Course Create. Therefore, CSV files should now refer to the path as:
New Course Path: \\fsc03\TBR\web\content\...
Fields in the CSV File (shown as columns in this preparatory spreadsheet).
- Course Offering Code
- Course Offering Name
- Semester Code
- Template Code
- Template Name
- Department Code
- Course Path
In this example the semester and department code are SB (for sandbox). Notice that the Course Path includes
"\\fsc02\TBR\web\content\RODP\Course Packages"
It is confirmed that "\\fsc02\TBR\web\content\" is the same for all TBR orgs.
"RODP" would be replaced with your Org Shortname.
"Course Packages" is the directory to which you uplaod the IMS export that will be imported into D2L.
"MATH1420R50S07C.zip" is an IMS expport file (in this case exported from WebCT).
Again, please note, line 1 above is for illustration purposes only, In actual practice, there would be one line per couse being imported.
Note: D2L has indicated the Bulk Course Create tool runs nightly at approximately 1:00am.
